- Clean the outer shell with a soft cloth dampened with mild soapy water; never use petroleum-based solvents, petrol, or abrasive cleaners as these damage the shell finish and foam beneath.
- Clean the visor with warm water and a soft microfibre cloth; never wipe a dry visor — grit will scratch the lens.
- If the comfort liner is removable, hand-wash it in cool water with mild detergent and allow it to air dry completely before reinserting — do not machine wash or tumble dry.
- Periodically check and lightly lubricate the flip-up chin bar pivot mechanism to keep action smooth and positive.
- Wipe the chin strap and buckle clean regularly; inspect the webbing for fraying, cuts, or UV degradation and replace if compromised.
- Store the helmet in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours, and household chemicals — UV exposure and solvent vapours degrade EPS foam and shell resins over time.
- Avoid resting the helmet face-down on hard surfaces; use the supplied bag or a soft surface to protect the visor.
- Replace the helmet after any significant impact, even when no visible damage is present — EPS liner damage is internal and cannot be assessed by eye.
- Do not apply stickers or paint to the shell without confirming compatibility, as some adhesives and solvents attack polycarbonate and composite shells.
