- Clean the outer shell with mild soap and warm water using a soft cloth; never use petroleum-based solvents, paint thinners, or abrasive cleaners as these degrade the shell and finish.
- Clean the visor with a damp, lint-free cloth and mild soap; always wet the surface first — wiping a dry visor with grit on it will scratch the lens.
- Remove the interior lining and cheek pads for hand-washing in cool water with mild detergent; allow to air-dry completely before refitting to prevent odour and mould.
- Inspect the flip-up chin bar latch before every ride to confirm it locks firmly in both the closed (riding) and open positions; do not ride with the chin bar unlatched.
- Check visor pivot tension periodically; if the visor flaps at speed, tighten the pivot screws slightly using the appropriate small screwdriver.
- Do not lubricate the visor pivots or flip mechanism with petroleum-based products; use only a silicone-based lubricant if movement becomes stiff.
- Store the helmet in a breathable bag or its original packaging in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel vapour, and chemical fumes, which can degrade liner foam and shell integrity over time.
- Replace the helmet after any significant impact — internal foam may be compressed even when no external damage is visible.
- If the inner sun visor becomes scratched or crazed, source a manufacturer-approved replacement; a damaged visor reduces optical clarity and eye protection.
