- Clean the outer shell with a soft damp cloth and mild soap; never use solvents, petrol or abrasive cleaners as these degrade the shell and finish.
- Wash removable interior liner and cheek pads by hand in lukewarm water with gentle detergent; allow to air dry fully before reinserting.
- Inspect the chin strap and buckle regularly for fraying, cracking or looseness; replace if any wear is found.
- Replace the helmet after any significant impact — internal EPS foam can be damaged without visible external signs.
- Avoid storing the helmet in direct sunlight, near fuel, paint fumes or chemicals, all of which accelerate material degradation.
- Do not apply paint, adhesive stickers or aftermarket coatings to the shell without manufacturer guidance, as this may affect structural integrity.
- When fitting, ensure the helmet sits level on the head and the chin strap is fastened snugly with no more than two fingers of clearance under the strap.
