The Rjays Tourtech V is a modular flip-up helmet aimed at touring and commuting riders who want the versatility of an open-face helmet with the full protection of a full-face lid. The chin bar lifts clear when stopped, making it practical for everyday use without compromising coverage on the move.

Finished in a matte black colourway, the Tourtech V is part of Rjays' touring-focused helmet range. Rjays is an established Australian motorcycle gear brand with a long presence in the local market.

  • Clean the outer shell with a mild soap and warm water on a soft cloth; avoid petroleum-based solvents or abrasive cleaners that can degrade the finish.
  • Clean the visor with a clean, damp microfibre cloth; never wipe a dry visor as fine grit will scratch the optical surface.
  • Remove the interior liner (if removable) and hand-wash in cool water with mild detergent; allow to air-dry fully before reinserting.
  • Inspect the chin-bar hinge and locking mechanism regularly to ensure it engages and releases cleanly; do not force it if stiff.
  • Check the visor pivot screws periodically and retighten gently if the visor feels loose — do not over-torque.
  • Replace the helmet if it has been involved in any impact, regardless of visible damage; the EPS liner can be compromised without showing external marks.
  • Store the helmet in its bag or a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, fuel, and chemical vapours, which can degrade the shell and liner over time.
  • As a general guideline, manufacturers recommend retiring helmets after approximately five years of use or seven years from manufacture date, whichever comes first — confirm the specific recommendation with Rjays.
