The Rjays TourTech V is a modular flip-up helmet from one of Australia's most established helmet brands, designed with touring riders in mind. The flip-up chin bar offers the convenience of an open-face helmet at stops while providing full-face coverage on the road.

- Clean the outer shell with a soft damp cloth and a mild soap solution; never use petroleum-based solvents, thinners or abrasive cleaners, which can degrade the shell finish and underlying EPS foam.
- Clean the visor by first rinsing off loose grit with warm water, then wipe gently with a clean microfibre cloth — wiping a dry visor traps grit and causes fine scratches.
- Remove the interior liner and cheek pads before washing them; hand-wash in cold water with a mild detergent and allow all components to air-dry completely before reassembling.
- Store the helmet in a helmet bag or on a padded surface away from direct sunlight, heat sources, fuel, oil, and cleaning chemicals — prolonged UV and chemical exposure degrades both the shell and EPS liner.
- Check that the chin strap and buckle are undamaged before every ride; fasten the strap securely and confirm it cannot be removed without operating the buckle.
- Inspect the flip-up hinge mechanism and locking latch periodically; if the chin bar feels loose or does not lock positively, have it inspected before riding with it closed at speed.
- Do not use the helmet after any impact, even if no external damage is visible — EPS liner crush is internal and the helmet's protective capacity may be permanently reduced.
- Replace the helmet in line with the manufacturer's recommendation; five years from date of first use is a widely accepted industry guideline regardless of apparent condition.
- Do not paint, apply stickers with solvent-based adhesives, or use aerosol sprays directly on the shell, as many common products attack polycarbonate and ABS materials.
