- Clean the outer shell with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap; avoid petrol-based solvents or abrasive cleaners that can degrade the finish and shell integrity.
- Remove and hand-wash inner liner and cheek pads (if removable) in cool water with mild detergent; allow to air-dry fully before refitting.
- Clean the visor with a soft, lint-free cloth and warm water; do not wipe a dry visor as this can cause micro-scratches.
- Store the helmet in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight and fuel vapours, which can degrade foam liners over time.
- Avoid placing heavy objects on top of the helmet during storage.
- Replace the helmet after any significant impact, even if no visible damage is present, as the EPS liner may be compromised.
- Inspect the retention system (chin strap and buckle) regularly for wear, fraying, or damage.
- Replace the helmet in accordance with the manufacturer's recommended service life or after approximately five years of use, whichever comes first.
