- Clean the outer shell using a soft cloth dampened with mild soap and warm water; avoid petroleum-based solvents, petrol, or abrasive cleaners as these can degrade the shell material and finish.
- Clean the visor with a damp cloth only — never wipe it dry, as dry wiping causes micro-scratches that reduce optical clarity over time.
- If the interior liner is removable, take it out before washing; hand wash gently in lukewarm water with mild detergent, rinse thoroughly, and allow to air dry completely before reinstalling.
- Allow the helmet to air dry naturally after riding in rain; do not use a hairdryer, heater or any direct heat source to accelerate drying.
- Inspect the visor regularly for deep scratches, crazing or discolouration that may compromise forward vision, and replace the visor if clarity is impaired.
- Do not apply stickers, adhesive tape, paint or solvents directly to the outer shell, as these can weaken the structural integrity of the helmet material.
- Replace the helmet following any significant impact — even with no visible external damage, the internal EPS liner may be compromised and will no longer provide rated protection.
- Check the chin strap and retention buckle before every ride to confirm they are secure, undamaged and functioning correctly.
- Store the helmet in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuels, oils and extreme temperatures when not in use.
