- Clean the helmet shell with a soft damp cloth and mild soap; avoid solvents, petrol-based cleaners, or abrasive materials that can damage the shell surface or any graphics.
- Clean the visor with warm water and a clean microfibre cloth; never wipe a dry visor, as this will cause scratches.
- If the interior padding and liner are removable, hand-wash them in cold water with a gentle detergent and allow them to air dry fully before reinserting — do not machine-wash or tumble-dry.
- Do not apply paint, unapproved adhesives or stickers to the shell, as these may chemically degrade the outer material or mask structural damage.
- Replace the helmet immediately after any significant impact, even if there is no visible external damage — the internal EPS liner absorbs energy by crushing and is not designed for multiple impacts.
- Inspect the chin strap, buckle and retention system regularly for signs of fraying, corrosion or deformation.
- Store the helmet in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, fuels, oils and solvents, which can degrade the shell, liner and padding materials over time.
- Replace the helmet every five years from the date of manufacture, or sooner if any component shows visible wear, damage or deterioration.
