- Clean the outer shell with a soft cloth, mild soap, and warm water; never use petrol, acetone, or abrasive cleaners as they can damage the shell and graphics.
- Clean the visor with a damp, lint-free cloth or mild visor cleaner; always wet the surface first — wiping a dry visor causes micro-scratches.
- Remove the interior lining if it is removable and hand-wash with mild detergent in cool water; allow to air dry completely before refitting.
- Store the helmet in a ventilated bag or on a flat surface away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours, and solvents, which degrade EPS foam and shell integrity over time.
- Inspect the helmet thoroughly after any impact, even if external damage is not visible; EPS foam can be compromised without showing obvious signs, and the helmet should be replaced if an impact has occurred.
- Check the chinstrap buckle and webbing regularly for wear, fraying, or corrosion and ensure the strap fastens securely before every ride.
- Replace the helmet in accordance with the manufacturer's guidance — generally within five years of the manufacture date or sooner following any significant impact.
- Avoid resting the helmet on the fuel tank or other surfaces that may expose it to chemical residue.
