- Clean the outer shell with a soft cloth dampened with mild soap and water; never use petrol, solvents, or abrasive cleaners as these degrade the shell material and finish.
- Remove and hand-wash the interior liner and cheek pads (if removable) in lukewarm water with mild detergent; allow to air-dry fully before reinserting.
- Clean the visor with a soft, lint-free cloth and warm water; avoid dry-wiping as this scratches the optical surface.
- Store the helmet in its bag or box away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and fuel vapours, all of which degrade foam and shell materials over time.
- Replace the helmet immediately after any significant impact, even if external damage is not visible — the EPS liner is a single-use safety component.
- Retire the helmet after five years of use regardless of condition, or earlier if the shell, liner, or retention system show signs of wear or deterioration.
- Check the chin-strap buckle and retention system regularly for signs of fraying, corrosion, or looseness before each ride.
- Do not apply paint, stickers, or adhesive-backed accessories to the shell without confirming compatibility with the manufacturer, as solvents in these products can compromise structural integrity.
