  • Clean the outer shell with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap; avoid petroleum-based solvents or abrasive cleaners that can degrade the finish.
  • Remove and hand-wash removable interior liners in lukewarm water with mild detergent; allow to air-dry fully before reinserting.
  • Clean the visor with a soft, lint-free cloth moistened with water; never wipe a dry visor as grit will scratch the surface.
  • Inspect the chin strap and retention buckle regularly for fraying, cracking or play; replace if any wear is found.
  • Store the helmet in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours and chemicals, which can degrade EPS foam and shell materials over time.
  • Replace the helmet after any impact, even if no visible damage is present — internal EPS foam compresses permanently on impact and does not recover.
  • As a general industry guideline, consider replacing the helmet every five years from the date of manufacture regardless of visible condition, or sooner if the fit, retention system or shell show signs of deterioration.
  • Do not paint, apply stickers with solvent-based adhesives, or modify the shell, as this can compromise structural integrity.
