- Clean the outer shell with a soft cloth dampened with mild soapy water; avoid petroleum-based solvents, petrol, or abrasive cleaners that can degrade the shell finish and graphic.
- Clean the visor with warm water and a mild detergent applied with a soft cloth; never wipe a dry visor as trapped grit will cause permanent scratches.
- If the interior liner is removable, hand-wash it in cool water with a gentle detergent and allow it to air-dry fully before reinserting — do not machine-wash or tumble-dry.
- Store the helmet in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, fuels, and oils, all of which can degrade the EPS liner and outer shell over time.
- Replace the helmet immediately after any significant impact, even if no visible external damage is present — the EPS liner is a single-use energy-absorbing material and cannot reliably absorb a second blow.
- As a general industry guideline, consider replacing your helmet after five years of regular use, as UV exposure and perspiration can degrade materials even without visible wear.
- Inspect the chin strap and retention system before every ride; replace the helmet if the strap shows fraying, cracking, or the buckle no longer locks securely.
- Do not paint, apply stickers with solvent-based adhesives, or use chemical sprays on the shell, as these can compromise structural integrity.
