- Clean the outer shell with a soft damp cloth and mild soap; never use petrol, solvents, or abrasive cleaners as these can degrade the shell and graphic finish.
- Clean the visor with lukewarm water and a soft microfibre cloth; avoid dry-wiping as this scratches the lens surface.
- Remove the interior liner according to the manufacturer's instructions before washing; hand-wash in cold water with mild detergent and allow to air-dry completely before reinserting.
- Inspect the chin strap and retention system regularly for fraying, cracking, or buckle damage and replace the helmet if any structural component is compromised.
- Replace the helmet immediately after any significant impact, even if no visible damage is present; internal EPS foam is a single-use energy absorber.
- Store the helmet in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, petrol fumes, and chemicals, which can degrade foam and shell materials over time.
- As a general safety guideline, retire the helmet after five years of use from date of first wear, or sooner if the shell, liner, or retention system shows signs of wear.
- Avoid resting heavy objects on the helmet and do not hang it from mirrors or handlebars by the chin strap, as this can stress the strap anchors.
