The Leatt 5.5 Wrist Brace is a supportive off-road brace built to limit wrist movement and reduce the risk of hyperextension, making it a practical option for riders returning to the bike after a wrist injury or anyone wanting extra support on rough terrain.

A stiff matrix chassis carries the load while the twin-section neoprene liner and two-finger location keep it comfortable over long motos. Closure is handled by an ATOP cable dial for quick, even tensioning with gloves on, and the interchangeable flex struts let you choose how much rearward movement you allow as your wrist strengthens.

  • Fit the brace so the two-finger location sits correctly between the fingers, then tension the ATOP dial evenly — firm enough to hold position without restricting circulation.
  • Release the ATOP cable fully before removing the brace rather than pulling it off under tension.
  • Choose the strut that suits your needs: the lower-flex strut restricts rearward movement more, the medium-flex strut allows more range as your wrist strengthens.
  • Check the strut fixings and the ATOP cable for wear or fraying before each ride and re-seat any loose components.
  • Remove the neoprene liner and padding for cleaning; wash by hand in cool water with a mild soap, rinse thoroughly and air dry away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
  • Wipe the matrix chassis with a damp cloth and mild soap; avoid solvents, petrol and abrasive cleaners that can damage plastics and cable components.
  • Allow the brace and padding to dry completely before storage to prevent odour and material breakdown.
  • Swap in the supplied spare padding when the original padding compresses, thins or no longer holds the brace securely.
  • Store flat or hung in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight and away from the bike's hot components.
  • If you are using the brace after an injury, follow the guidance of your doctor or physiotherapist on how much support and flex is appropriate, and stop using it if it causes pain or numbness.
