Pull the jacket on over your jersey and body armour before the race or session, then close the front zip fully so the waterproof closure can do its job.
Check your size against the Leatt size guide and allow for the bulk of a chest protector or roost deflector underneath.
Rinse off mud and dirt with clean, cool water as soon as you can, before it dries and works into the fabric and zip teeth.
Wipe clean with a soft cloth and mild soap; avoid petrol, brake cleaner, solvents and other harsh chemicals, which can damage the translucent material.
Keep the zip clear of sand and grit and rinse it after muddy rides so it keeps running smoothly.
Hang to dry naturally in a shaded, well-ventilated spot; keep it away from direct heat sources, exhausts and prolonged direct sunlight.
Make sure it is completely dry before folding it away, so it does not develop mildew or odours in your kit bag.
