- Before installation, drain the existing coolant fully and dispose of it in accordance with local regulations.
- Check that the replacement unit's inlet and outlet ports align with the existing hose positions before finalising fitment.
- Use fresh coolant mixed to the manufacturer's recommended concentration for the Can-Am Outlander / Renegade; do not top up with water alone.
- After installation, run the engine to operating temperature and check all hose connections and clamps for leaks before returning the ATV to normal use.
- Inspect the radiator fins periodically for mud, debris or damage, particularly after off-road use; clear blockages gently with low-pressure water or compressed air.
- Avoid pressure-washing directly at the radiator core at close range, as this can bend the fins and reduce cooling efficiency.
- Check coolant level and condition at the start of each riding season; replace coolant at the interval specified in the Can-Am service manual.
- Store the ATV in a location where the cooling system will not be exposed to freezing temperatures unless an appropriate antifreeze concentration is maintained.
