The Quad Lock Waterproof 12V to USB Smart Adaptor hardwires a sealed USB-A power source to your vehicle's battery, so you can run a Quad Lock Weatherproof Wireless Charging Head on bikes that have no factory USB outlet. It suits motorcycles and ATVs as well as constant-supply setups such as boats and caravans.
Everything needed for a tidy hardwired install is supplied, including ring terminal leads with an in-line fuse, a sealing boot for the USB connection and zip ties for cable routing. A three-position switch lets you choose between permanent power, off, or an automatic mode that only feeds the outlet once the charging system is running — useful for avoiding a flat battery on a bike that sits between rides.
The Weatherproof Wireless Charging Head is sold separately.

- Connect the ring terminal cable directly to the battery, red to positive and black to negative, and fit the in-line fuse on the positive side as supplied.
- Select AUTO for motorcycles, ATVs and other vehicles where power should only be available while the engine is running — the adaptor switches on above 13.5V and off below 12.5V.
- Select ON only where a constant 12V–24V supply is appropriate, such as a boat or caravan, and switch to OFF when the vehicle will be parked for extended periods.
- If the vehicle uses a lithium battery, the Auto function may not work reliably; use the On/Off switch manually instead to protect the battery.
- Always fit the supplied USB-A sealing boot over the connection to the charging head cable, and keep the USB port covered when nothing is plugged in.
- The adaptor unit and cable housing are IP66 rated, but the USB boot is only IP64 — avoid directing high-pressure water at the USB connection when washing the bike.
- Route the cables away from steering stops, suspension travel, exhausts and other heat sources, and secure them with the supplied zip ties so nothing chafes or pulls.
- If the outlet stops delivering power, check the in-line fuse first and replace it with an equivalent 3A fast-blow fuse rather than bypassing it.
- Wipe the housing, switch and terminals with a soft damp cloth; avoid solvents, and inspect the ring terminals periodically for corrosion or looseness.
- Disconnect the ring terminals before carrying out any work on the battery or charging system.
