- Confirm the model and year of your RM against the fitment above before installation, as protector shapes changed across the RM range.
- Fit using the original Suzuki mounting hardware and fork guard fasteners; replace any stripped or corroded bolts rather than overtightening into the plastic.
- In cold weather, let the plastics warm up before fitting so they flex into position instead of stressing at the mounting points.
- Wash with warm water, mild soap and a soft sponge or cloth, then rinse and dry.
- Avoid petrol, brake cleaner, solvents and harsh degreasers, which can dull or craze the gloss finish and lift in-mould decals.
- Keep high-pressure washer nozzles back from the surface and never aim them directly at decal edges.
- Don't use abrasive pads, scouring powders or stiff brushes; light scuffs are better polished out with a plastic-safe polish.
- Inspect the protectors after any crash or heavy roost and replace them if you find cracks or splits, as a damaged guard can foul the fork slider or brake line.
- Store spare plastics flat and out of direct sunlight to limit fading and warping.
