The Polisport Chain Sliding Piece is a direct-replacement wear part for KTM and Husqvarna dirt bikes, moulded as a replica of the original stock component. It is made from TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane), a material chosen to cope with the constant friction and abrasion of a running chain.
It suits riders replacing a worn or damaged sliding piece who want an OEM-style fit without paying OEM prices. Finished in black to match the standard colour, it is injection moulded for consistent shape and fitment, and is built to be tougher than the stock item.

- Confirm the part number and fitment against your exact model and year before installation.
- Fit using the original fasteners and mounting hardware, and tighten to the torque figures in your motorcycle's service manual.
- Inspect the sliding piece regularly, especially after wet or muddy rides, and replace it once the chain has worn a groove through the wear surface.
- Keep the drive chain adjusted to the slack specified by the manufacturer — a loose chain accelerates wear on the sliding piece.
- Keep the chain clean and correctly lubricated; grit trapped between chain and slider is the main cause of premature wear.
- Wash with water and mild detergent, then rinse and dry; avoid harsh solvents, degreasers and pressure-washing directly at the mounting points.
- Check the mounting fasteners after the first ride following installation and periodically thereafter, as vibration can loosen them.
- Do not ride with a worn-through slider — the chain can contact and damage the swingarm.
- Store spares out of direct sunlight in a cool, dry place.
