The Pirelli Scorpion XC Mid Soft is an off-road rear tyre built for cross-country enduro competition and serious trail riding. The 120/100-18 fitment covers the most common rear wheel size in the enduro and hard-enduro segment.
The Mid Soft terrain rating makes this tyre well suited to loose-over-hard, loam, and mixed terrain where the knobs need to dig and self-clean without washing out on hardpack. NHS (Not Highway Safe) — this tyre is designed exclusively for off-road use and must not be ridden on public roads.

- This tyre is NHS (Not Highway Safe) — it must only be used off-road and must never be ridden on public roads or highways.
- Always fit by a qualified tyre fitter using appropriate rim tools; do not attempt to mount or dismount with improvised levers that could damage the bead.
- Set tyre pressure according to the motorcycle manufacturer's recommendation for the terrain and load; off-road pressures are typically much lower than road pressures and vary by terrain — consult your bike's owner manual.
- Allow a short break-in period of 20–30 km of moderate riding before pushing the tyre to its limits, to allow the compound and knobs to seat correctly.
- Inspect the tyre before each ride for cuts, embedded debris, cracks in the knobs, or any bead damage, and remove any stones or debris lodged in the tread.
- After riding in mud, rinse the tyre and wheel with clean water; avoid high-pressure jets directed at the bead area or valve stem.
- Store tyres unmounted in a cool, dry, dark location away from direct sunlight, ozone sources (electric motors, fluorescent lights), and petroleum products.
- Replace the tyre when knob wear reduces traction noticeably or when the carcass shows cracking, bulging, or cord exposure — do not rely on a fixed kilometre interval for off-road tyres as wear rate depends heavily on terrain and riding style.
- Always replace the inner tube or check the tubeless valve when fitting a new tyre; reusing a worn tube under a new tyre is a common cause of punctures.
