The Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR is a knobbly on/off-road tyre built for adventure riding without a fixed destination. This listing is the 90/90-21 front fitment, carrying the 54V M+S TL (A) designation and supplied as an original-equipment fitment for the Yamaha Ténéré.

It is aimed at riders of current-generation adventure, dual-purpose and enduro-street machines who split their time between bitumen and dirt roads. The design brief was to bring rally-competition character into a road-legal tyre, so the block pattern digs into loose surfaces while the street-oriented profile and casing keep the bike composed, stable and predictable on sealed roads.

Have the tyre fitted and balanced by a qualified motorcycle tyre fitter using correct machinery; observe any rotation direction and fitting markings moulded on the sidewall.
Being a tubeless (TL) tyre, fit it only to a rim and valve rated for tubeless use, or use a suitable inner tube if your wheel is not tubeless-compatible.
Scrub in a new tyre gently over the first stretch of riding, avoiding hard acceleration, heavy braking and deep lean angles until the release agents have worn off the tread surface.
Check and set inflation pressures cold, using the pressures specified by your motorcycle manufacturer for your load and riding conditions; recheck at least fortnightly and before long rides.
When airing down for loose surfaces, return to on-road pressures before riding at highway speed, and never exceed the tyre's load and speed capability.
Inspect the tread and sidewalls regularly for cuts, embedded stones, bulges, torn blocks or uneven wear, and replace the tyre once the tread reaches the legal minimum depth in your state.
Remove stones and mud from between the blocks after off-road use; clean with water and mild soap only.
Do not apply solvents, petroleum-based cleaners or tyre dressings to the tread, and keep the tyre away from oils, fuels and brake fluid.
Store spare tyres upright in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight and away from electric motors or other sources of ozone.
Have any puncture assessed by a professional rather than relying on a roadside plug for ongoing use, and replace a tyre that has been run flat or heavily impacted.
