The Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR is a knobbly on/off-road tyre built for the current generation of adventure, dual-purpose and enduro street machines. This listing is for the 170/60R17 72V M+S tubeless rear tyre.
It sits between a rally competition tyre and a road-legal enduro tyre: an open, blocky tread for traction on dirt and gravel, paired with a street-style profile and casing so the bike still steers, grips and holds a line predictably on sealed roads. A high-silica compound is used to keep grip up across varying conditions while helping the tyre last.
Suited to riders who cover real distances on the blacktop between unsealed sections and want one tyre that copes with both, rather than a dedicated road or dedicated off-road fitment.

- Have the tyre fitted and balanced by a qualified motorcycle tyre fitter, and follow any rotation direction arrow moulded into the sidewall.
- Fit only to a rim approved for tubeless use, and check the rim width is within the range specified for a 170/60R17 by your motorcycle or rim manufacturer.
- Allow a run-in period after fitting: build up lean angle, braking and throttle progressively until the release agent has scrubbed off the full width of the tread.
- Check and adjust inflation pressures cold, to the figures specified by your motorcycle manufacturer, and recheck before long or loaded rides.
- If you drop pressures for unsealed sections, return to the recommended road pressures before riding at speed on sealed roads.
- Inspect regularly for cuts, bulges, stones lodged between the tread blocks, and uneven or squared-off wear; replace once the wear indicators or the legal minimum tread depth are reached.
- Stay within the load and speed limits marked on the sidewall (72V) and within your bike's rated load when carrying luggage or a pillion.
- Clean with mild soap and water only; keep solvents, fuel and silicone tyre-shine products off the tread and sidewalls.
- Store spare tyres upright in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight and away from electric motors, oils and fuels.
