Have the tyre fitted and balanced by a qualified motorcycle tyre technician using correct machinery — never attempt a home fit.
Fit a new valve (and rim tape where applicable) at the same time as the tyre, and check the rim and bead seat are clean and undamaged before fitting.
Observe any rotation-direction arrow or fitting marking on the sidewall when mounting.
Scrub the tyre in gently for the first part of its life, avoiding hard acceleration, heavy braking and full lean angles until the surface has bedded in.
Check and set pressures cold, using the pressures specified by your motorcycle manufacturer for your load and riding conditions; re-check at least fortnightly and before long or loaded rides.
