The Pirelli Night Dragon GT is a cruiser tyre built for riders who want genuine Pirelli road manners under a big, heavy V-twin. This 180/55B18 M/C 80H TL Reinforced fitment is a belted bias tubeless tyre listed for front or rear use, and it is fully compatible with the existing Night Dragon front range.

The GT specification is the longer-wearing evolution of the standard Night Dragon, pairing an advanced “full carbon black” compound with a stiffer carcass and higher belt tension. The result is a tyre that holds its shape and line under load, with predictable feel and feedback rather than nervous steering.

It suits Harley-Davidson and metric cruisers alike, and is specified to cope with the capacity, torque and power of current large-displacement V-twins — a sensible choice for touring kilometres, two-up riding and loaded weekends away.

  • GT specification developed for higher mileage than the standard Night Dragon
  • Advanced "full carbon black" compound for enhanced mileage and traction
  • Stiffer carcass with high belt tension for improved stability under load
  • Reinforced casing for heavier cruisers and loaded touring use
  • Tubeless (TL) belted bias construction in 180/55B18
  • Rated 80H: load index 80, H speed symbol
  • Listed for front or rear fitment, depending on your bike's specification
  • 100% compatible with all Night Dragon front tyres
  • Fits both Harley-Davidson and metric cruiser models
  • Specified to suit the engine sizes, torque and power of today's V-twins
  • Crafted for predictable feel and feedback on the road
  • One Pirelli Night Dragon GT 180/55B18 tyre (sold individually)

  • Have the tyre fitted and balanced by a qualified motorcycle tyre technician — this is a tubeless (TL) belted bias tyre and must be mounted on a rim approved for tubeless use and for the 180/55B18 size.
  • Check your motorcycle's owner's manual or the swingarm/chain-guard placard for the correct fitment position, approved rim width and recommended cold inflation pressures, and set pressures to those figures rather than to a generic number.
  • Observe any directional rotation arrow and the mounting markings on the sidewall when the tyre is fitted, and fit a new valve (or service the existing valve and seal) at the same time.
  • Ride gently through the running-in period on a new tyre: the surface has a release finish from moulding, so avoid hard acceleration, heavy braking and full lean angles until the tread has scrubbed in evenly.
  • Check pressures when the tyres are cold, before riding — an underinflated tyre runs hot, wears the shoulders and blunts the stability this stiffer carcass is designed to give, particularly when loaded or two-up.
  • Stay within the tyre's marked load index and speed symbol (80H), and take extra care with pressures when carrying a pillion or luggage.
  • Inspect regularly for cuts, embedded objects, bulges, uneven or cupped wear and sidewall damage; replace before the tread reaches the legal minimum depth for your state or territory.
  • Clean with mild soap and water and a soft brush only. Keep petrol, oil, brake fluid and solvents off the rubber, and never apply silicone tyre shine or dressings to the tread — they can leave the surface slippery.
  • If the tyre is stored off the bike, keep it cool, dry, out of direct sunlight and away from electric motors or other sources of ozone; if the bike is stood for long periods, use stands or move it periodically to avoid flat-spotting.
  • Treat any puncture as a matter for a professional assessment — have the tyre inspected internally and follow Pirelli's repair guidance rather than relying on a roadside plug for continued high-speed or loaded riding.
