The Pirelli Night Dragon is a dedicated cruiser motorcycle tyre engineered for large-displacement V-twin and custom bikes. This rear tyre in size 240/40R18 carries a load index of 79 (363 kg) and a V speed rating, making it well matched to the performance demands of modern cruisers.

Tubeless radial construction keeps rolling weight in check and aids heat dissipation, while the wide 240 mm section delivers the broad contact patch that defines the cruiser riding experience. The Night Dragon is a common fitment for popular 18-inch rear wheels found on Harley-Davidson, Indian, and similar custom platforms.

  • Have the tyre fitted and balanced by a qualified motorcycle tyre technician — improper mounting can cause catastrophic failure at speed.
  • New tyres require a break-in period of approximately 100–200 km at moderate speeds and conservative lean angles before the mould-release compound wears fully away; treat the tyre gently during this period.
  • Check tyre pressure cold before every ride and inflate to the pressure specified in your motorcycle owner's manual for the relevant load condition — do not use the pressure moulded on the tyre sidewall as a target.
  • Never exceed the tyre's rated load index (79 / 363 kg) or speed rating (V / 240 km/h).
  • Inspect the tyre before each ride for cuts, punctures, embedded objects, sidewall cracking, bulges, or abnormal wear; replace immediately if structural damage is found.
  • Replace the tyre once tread depth reaches the built-in wear indicator markers — riding on worn tyres dramatically increases stopping distances and the risk of aquaplaning.
  • Store unused tyres upright (or flat if stacking is necessary) in a cool, dark, dry location well away from direct sunlight, UV sources, ozone-generating equipment (electric motors, welding gear), and petroleum products.
  • Keep the tyre away from oils, fuels, and solvents, which degrade rubber compounds over time.
  • Do not fit an inner tube inside this tubeless tyre except as a strictly temporary emergency measure — doing so permanently affects the tyre's structural performance.
