The Pirelli MT 21 Rallycross is a front tyre for riders who spend more time off the bitumen than on it. In 90/90-21 it fits the 21-inch front wheel used by most enduro, dual-sport and adventure machines, and its aggressive knobbed pattern is shaped for dirt, gravel and desert going.

A stiff carcass keeps the front end stable and predictable when the bike is leaned into a loose corner, while a dedicated off-road compound resists knob tearing so the tread holds its edge through long days in rough terrain. It is DOT approved and carries the M+S (mud and snow) marking, so it can be ridden on the road between trails.

This is a tube-type (TT) tyre and must be fitted with a suitable inner tube.

Have the tyre fitted and balanced by a qualified motorcycle tyre technician; tube-type fitment requires a matching inner tube and sound rim tape.
Follow any directional or fitting arrows moulded into the sidewall so the tread pattern runs the correct way.
Scrub in the new tyre with progressively harder riding over the first rides before aggressive cornering or hard off-road use, as new tread has a slick release-agent finish.
Check and set pressures cold, using the pressures specified by your motorcycle's manufacturer, and re-check a day or two after fitment while a new tube settles.
If you drop pressures for off-road traction, make sure the wheel has a rim lock fitted, otherwise the tyre can slip on the rim and tear the valve stem.
Inspect the knobs regularly for tearing, chunking, cuts and embedded stones or thorns, and pull out anything lodged in the tread before it works through to the tube.
Replace the tyre once the tread reaches the wear indicators, or earlier if the knobs are badly torn, the carcass is cut or the sidewall is damaged; have any puncture assessed professionally rather than relying on a plug.
Do not exceed the 54R load and speed rating, and remember off-road knobs give reduced grip on wet sealed roads.
Store spare tyres upright in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight and away from fuel, oil, solvents and electric motors that generate ozone.
