Its tread pattern is derived from Pirelli's Diablo Supercorsa, and the racing-influenced profile is designed to give predictable, linear behaviour as the bike moves from upright to lean. Have the tyre fitted and balanced by a qualified motorcycle tyre technician — never attempt to mount a tyre without the correct equipment.
As a tubeless (TL) tyre, fit it only to a rim rated for tubeless use, and check the valve and seal condition at the same time as fitting.
Check the sidewall for any direction-of-rotation or front/rear markings before fitting and follow them.
Scrub the tyre in gently over the first stretch of riding: avoid hard acceleration, heavy braking and deep lean angles until the surface has worn in and the release agent from moulding has gone.
Check cold inflation pressure at least fortnightly and before longer rides, using the pressure specified in your motorcycle's owner's manual or on the bike's tyre placard — not a figure taken from the tyre sidewall.
Do not exceed the load or speed limits indicated by the 52S rating, and do not overload the bike.
Inspect regularly for cuts, embedded stones, bulges, cracking or uneven wear, and have the tyre assessed if you spot any damage or after a heavy impact such as a pothole strike.
Replace the tyre once the tread reaches the tread wear indicators or the legal minimum depth for your state, whichever comes first.
Clean with water and mild soap only; keep petrol, solvents, brake cleaner and silicone tyre shine off the tread and sidewalls, as these can degrade the rubber or reduce grip.
Store spare tyres upright in a cool, dry, dark place away from direct sunlight, ozone sources such as electric motors, and fuels or chemicals.
