The Pirelli Diablo Rosso II is a sport tyre built for everyday road riding, drawing on Pirelli's racing development work to deliver grip and feel on public roads rather than the track. This listing is the front tyre in 120/70ZR17 58W, a radial tubeless size that suits a wide range of modern sportsbikes, naked bikes and sport tourers running a 17-inch front wheel.
Its tread pattern uses a reduced land/sea ratio and Pirelli's Functional Groove Design to keep rubber on the road while still clearing water, and Enhanced Patch Technology optimises the shape of the contact patch through corner entry and lean. - Have the tyre fitted and balanced by a qualified motorcycle tyre technician, observing the rotation direction arrow moulded into the sidewall.
- Scrub in a new tyre before riding hard: build up gradually and avoid heavy acceleration, hard braking and full lean angles until the mould-release finish has worn off the full width of the tread.
- Check and set inflation pressures when the tyre is cold, using the pressures specified by your motorcycle manufacturer for your load and riding conditions; recheck regularly, as underinflation causes overheating and rapid wear.
- Inspect before each ride for cuts, bulges, embedded stones or nails, and uneven wear; replace the tyre once it reaches the tread wear indicators or the legal minimum tread depth in your state.
- Pair with the matching Diablo Rosso II rear where possible and avoid mixing different tread patterns, constructions or brands front to rear.
- Do not exceed the tyre's load and speed rating (58W), and re-torque or re-check the wheel and valve after fitting.
- Clean with mild soap and water only; keep petrol, oils, solvents and silicone-based tyre dressings off the tread and sidewalls.
- Store spare tyres upright in a cool, dry, dark place away from direct sunlight, electric motors and fuels, which accelerate rubber ageing.
- Have any puncture assessed professionally — do not rely on temporary sealants or plug repairs for continued high-speed or sport riding.
