Wipe the tools down with a clean, dry cloth after use — carbon steel will surface-rust if it is put away damp.
If the pouch gets wet on a ride, open it out and let the tools air-dry fully before rolling it back up.
A light wipe of machine oil on sockets, hex keys and bit shanks before long-term storage helps keep corrosion off.
Clean the gel handles with mild soapy water only; avoid petrol, brake cleaner and other solvents, which can degrade the grips.
Check every piece is back in its slot and the pouch is fully closed before refitting it — loose tools rattle, and missing sizes are only noticed at the roadside.
Test-fit the folded pouch under your seat before you rely on it, and make sure it does not press on wiring, the battery terminals or the seat lock mechanism.
