- Inspect straps before every use — look for fraying, cuts, broken buckles or any signs of wear, and retire the straps immediately if damage is found.
- Never exceed the rated load limit marked on the strap label.
- Route straps to avoid sharp edges or abrasive surfaces that could cut the webbing during transit.
- Ensure the Wonder Bar is correctly seated across the handlebars and that all cam or ratchet buckles are fully engaged before moving the vehicle.
- Check strap tension after the first few kilometres of travel and re-tension if needed, as webbing can settle under load.
- If straps become soiled, wash with mild soapy water, rinse thoroughly and allow to dry completely before storing.
- Store away from prolonged UV exposure, heat sources and fuel or oil, all of which degrade webbing over time.
- Do not tie knots in the webbing as this creates stress points that reduce load capacity.
