The Oxford HotGrips Premium Touring are electrically heated handlebar grips that replace your existing grips and keep your hands warm on cold, early-morning and wet rides. They suit riders who want to stay comfortable through winter, extend the riding season, or simply keep feeling in their fingers on long touring days without swapping to bulky winter gloves.
Heat is managed by an intelligent controller with five settings, so you can dial the output up on a frosty start and back off as the day warms. The supplied V8 switch is rainproof, and the grips themselves are sealed for life with a moulded tread pattern for grip and feel. A built-in battery-saving mode shuts the grips down if they are left on, helping protect your motorcycle's battery.

- Fit only to 22mm (7/8") handlebars; check your bar diameter and available grip area before installation, as the grips adjust between 110mm and 120mm in length.
- Remove the old grips and thoroughly clean and degrease the bar and throttle tube so the supplied grip glue can bond properly.
- Allow the grip glue to cure fully before riding, and confirm the throttle rotates freely and snaps closed under its own spring before the first ride.
- Route the wiring loom clear of the steering, forks, control cables and hot exhaust components, and secure it with the supplied cable ties so nothing is pinched or stretched at full lock.
- Mount the heat controller with the supplied metal bracket where you can reach it easily without taking your hand off the bar for long.
- Use the lowest heat setting that keeps you comfortable to reduce load on the charging system; the grips draw under 4A.
- Rely on the battery-saving mode as a backstop, but still switch the grips off manually when you park.
- Do not cut, drill, pierce or shorten the grips - they are sealed for life and contain the heating elements.
- Clean with a soft damp cloth and mild soapy water; avoid solvents, petrol, brake cleaner and abrasive products, which can damage the grip surface.
- Periodically inspect the wiring, connectors and switch for chafing, corrosion or loose terminals, and check that the grips remain firmly bonded to the bar.
