The Oxford Aquatex Touring Premium is an all-weather cover made for bicycles carried on a vehicle-mounted rack. It shields one or two bikes from rain, road spray, grit and UV while you travel, so they arrive as clean as they left.
There is a security benefit too. Police anti-theft initiatives have long noted that a covered bike is a less attractive target, because a thief cannot see what is underneath. Used together with a chain lock, the cover adds a useful extra layer of deterrence at fuel stops and overnight stays.
A clear pocket on the cover holds a 50cm x 50cm warning sign (not supplied), and bungee fitments make it quick to pull on and secure. It suits most bicycle styles, excluding wide-handlebar models, and packs away into the included storage bag.

- Load and secure the bicycles to the rack first, then fit the cover over the top and tension the bungee fitments so no fabric can flap or contact the wheels.
- Check the cover and its fitments before setting off and at each stop; re-tension anything that has worked loose during travel.
- Insert the required 50cm x 50cm warning sign into the clear pocket where local road rules call for one — the sign is not supplied.
- Make sure the cover does not obscure the vehicle's number plate or lights when fitted.
- Fit the cover over dry bikes wherever possible; trapped moisture against frames and drivetrains can encourage corrosion.
- Rinse off road salt, mud and grit with clean water and wipe with a soft cloth or sponge and mild soapy water.
- Avoid solvents, petrol-based cleaners and high-pressure washers, which can damage the external poly acrylic coating.
- Allow the cover to dry fully before folding it into the storage bag, and store it in a cool, dry place.
- Keep the cover away from a hot exhaust or towbar-mounted heat sources, and check regularly for tears or worn bungees that could let it lift at speed.
