The Oxford USB Type C 3.0 Amp Charging Kit is a hardwired USB-C power outlet that lets you charge a phone, headset or other USB device straight from your motorcycle's battery. The port mounts wherever suits your bike using the supplied cable tie, and the attached ring leads run directly to the battery terminals for a tidy, permanent installation.

It delivers up to 3 amps at 5V, which is enough for most mobile devices, and an in-line fuse guards your device against power surges. The charger draws no current when nothing is plugged in, so it will not flatten your battery between rides, and a splash-resistant silicone cap seals the socket in wet weather.

A device-specific charging cable is not included.

Disconnect the battery before installation, and reconnect the negative terminal last.
Connect the ring terminals directly to the battery terminals, observing correct polarity, and make sure the terminal bolts are done up firmly.
Mount the socket somewhere accessible and protected, then secure the 1.6 m lead with the supplied cable tie so it cannot chafe, stretch or contact hot or moving parts such as the exhaust, steering head or suspension.
Keep the silicone cap fitted whenever the socket is not in use — it is splash-resistant, not waterproof, so avoid direct high-pressure washing of the port.
Check the in-line fuse first if the socket stops delivering power, and replace it only with a fuse of the same rating.
Only connect devices that draw up to 3 Amps at 5V; higher-draw devices may not charge correctly.
Periodically inspect the ring terminals for corrosion and the lead for damage, chafing or loose routing, particularly after wet rides or off-road use.
Wipe the socket and cap with a soft damp cloth; do not use solvents or degreasers, and make sure the socket is dry before plugging in a cable.
Use a device-specific USB-C cable (not supplied) and unplug it before riding off if it could snag or pull on the socket.
