The Nolan N90-3 Special is a modular helmet built for adventure and touring riders who want the flexibility of a full-face and open-face helmet in one. Its flip-up chin guard and integrated retractable sun visor make it a practical choice for long-distance riding across changing conditions, whether on sealed roads or light unsealed terrain.
The Special edition sits above the base N90-3 range with a distinctive graphic colourway in place of a solid finish. This listing is for the Silver colourway in size XS, built on Nolan's polycarbonate shell platform with a removable Clima Comfort inner lining and micrometric buckle closure.

- Clean the outer shell with a soft damp cloth and mild soap; avoid petrol-based solvents, abrasives, or strong detergents that can degrade the polycarbonate and graphics.
- Remove the Clima Comfort inner liner before washing; hand wash in lukewarm water with mild detergent, then allow to air dry completely before refitting.
- To deploy the sun visor, use the release lever while the chin guard is locked in the full-face position; do not force the mechanism.
- Raise the chin guard by pressing the release buttons on both sides simultaneously; always confirm the chin guard is securely locked before riding.
- Replace the helmet after any significant impact, even where no visible damage is present — internal EPS damage is not visible to the eye.
- Replace the outer visor if scratching or crazing impairs vision; use only Nolan-approved replacement visors to preserve fit and seal integrity.
- Store in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours, and UV exposure, all of which degrade polycarbonate shells over time.
- Avoid hanging the helmet by the visor or peak, as sustained stress on the retention clips can cause premature wear.
- Nolan recommends retiring any helmet 5 years from the date of first use, or sooner if the shell, EPS liner, or retention system shows signs of deterioration.
