The Nitromousse Platinum is a foam mousse insert designed to replace the inner tube in a 120/100-18 rear motorcycle tyre, providing puncture-proof performance across off-road disciplines. With no air to lose, it eliminates the risk of a flat in motocross, enduro, and hard enduro environments where tyre failure is a real cost to ride and safety.
Delivering an equivalent ride feel of 10 to 12 PSI, the Platinum compound is positioned as Nitromousse's premium formulation — offering a balance of durability and consistent feel over varying terrain. It is a direct inner tube replacement with no valve stem, no pressure management, and no pump required on the trail.

- Apply a mousse-specific lubricant (commonly called mousse butter) generously to the outer surface of the mousse before fitting — do not use standard tyre mounting paste, petroleum-based products, or water-soluble lubricants, as these will degrade the foam compound.
- Fit the mousse inside the tyre before mounting on the rim; a tyre iron and suitable tools are required — professional fitting is strongly recommended if you have not fitted a mousse before, as incorrect installation can cause the tyre to roll off the rim under load.
- Ensure the tyre bead is fully and evenly seated on both sides of the rim before riding.
- No valve stem is required or used — do not attempt to fit one or to introduce any air alongside the mousse.
- Inspect the mousse periodically for cracking, crumbling, flat spots, or a noticeably softer feel; replace when it no longer provides consistent support or shows visible deterioration.
- Do not use tyre sealants or puncture-repair products in combination with a mousse insert.
- Store unused mousse tubes in a cool, dark location away from UV light, heat, and ozone sources — prolonged exposure to these will degrade the foam before use.
- After washing the bike, avoid directing a high-pressure washer at the tyre sidewall junction, as water ingress between the tyre and mousse can accelerate wear.
