Clean the outer shell with mild soap and warm water using a soft damp cloth; avoid petroleum-based solvents, alcohol, or abrasive cleaners that can damage the shell finish.
Clean the visor with a dedicated visor cleaner or mild soapy water and a soft lint-free cloth; never wipe a dry visor as this will cause fine scratching that reduces clarity.
If the interior comfort liner is removable, hand wash in cool water with mild detergent, rinse thoroughly, and allow to air dry completely before reinserting.
Store the helmet in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel, oil, and exhaust fumes, all of which can degrade foam and shell materials over time.
Do not apply paint, adhesive vinyl, or chemical adhesives directly to the shell, as these can compromise its structural integrity.
Replace the helmet immediately following any significant impact, even if no external damage is visible — the EPS inner liner may be permanently deformed and unable to absorb a subsequent impact effectively.
As a general guideline, replace the helmet every five years from the date of first use regardless of visible condition, or sooner if interior padding shows signs of compression, wear, or deterioration.
