Clean the outer shell with a soft cloth and mild soap and water; avoid petroleum-based solvents or abrasive cleaners that can degrade the shell finish.
Clean the visor with a dedicated helmet visor cleaner or very mild soap solution; never wipe a dry visor as grit will scratch the surface.
To clean the drop-down sun visor, retract it fully before wiping; use the same mild solution and allow to air dry before stowing.
If the interior liner is removable, hand-wash it in cool water with mild detergent, reshape, and allow to dry fully before reinserting — never machine dry.
Store the helmet in a padded bag or box away from direct sunlight, fuels, solvents, and extreme heat, all of which degrade EPS foam over time.
Replace the helmet immediately after any significant impact, even if no visible damage is present — EPS foam does not recover and protection is compromised.
As a general industry guideline, retire any helmet after five years of use from first wear, or sooner if the shell, liner, or retention system shows wear or damage.
