  • Clean the outer shell with a soft damp cloth and mild soap; avoid petroleum-based solvents or abrasive cleaners, which can degrade the shell and finish.
  • Clean the visor (if fitted) separately using a clean microfibre cloth; never wipe a dry visor, as grit can scratch the surface.
  • Remove and hand-wash any removable inner liner or cheek pads in cool water with mild detergent; allow to air dry completely before refitting.
  • Store the helmet in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel, and exhaust fumes, which can degrade foam and shell materials over time.
  • Avoid placing the helmet on a fuel tank or painted surface without a protective cloth, as fuel vapour and paint solvents can damage the shell.
  • Do not paint, drill, or modify the helmet shell, as this can compromise structural integrity.
  • Replace the helmet after any impact, even if external damage is not visible; internal EPS foam compresses permanently during an impact.
  • As a general guideline, consider replacing any helmet after five years of use, or sooner if the shell, liner, or retention system shows signs of wear.
