- Clean the outer shell with a soft cloth dampened in mild soapy water; never use solvent-based, petroleum or abrasive cleaners as these will damage the shell finish and graphics.
- Clean the visor with warm water and a soft microfibre cloth or a dedicated visor cleaner; never wipe a dry visor — always wet it first to avoid fine scratches.
- Remove the inner comfort liner (if removable) and hand-wash with mild detergent in cool water; allow to air-dry completely before refitting to prevent odour and mould.
- Do not leave the helmet on the rear seat or in a vehicle boot for extended periods; heat build-up and UV exposure degrade the EPS liner and shell over time.
- Store the helmet in its carry bag or a padded box away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours and chemicals.
- Inspect the chin-strap buckle and webbing regularly; retire the helmet if either is worn, frayed or fails to lock securely.
- Replace the helmet after any significant impact, even if external damage is not visible — the EPS foam crushes permanently on impact and will not protect in a subsequent crash.
- Check the visor mechanism and sealing foam periodically; replace the visor if it becomes heavily scratched, cracked or difficult to operate cleanly.
