Clean the outer shell with a soft damp cloth and mild soap; never use petroleum-based solvents or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the shell and finish.
Clean the visor with a clean, damp microfibre cloth — avoid dry-wiping, which can cause fine scratches that reduce optical clarity.
To operate the drop-down sun visor, use the dedicated slider or lever (typically on the left side of the chin bar); ensure it is fully retracted before removing or fitting the helmet.
Inspect the visor for scratches or crazing regularly and replace it if optical distortion is present.
Remove and hand-wash any removable interior padding and liner with mild detergent in lukewarm water; allow to air-dry completely before reinserting.
Store the helmet in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours, and chemicals, which degrade EPS foam and shell materials over time.
Replace the helmet after any impact, even if no visible damage is apparent — the EPS liner is single-use and will not protect effectively after compression.
As a general guideline, replace the helmet every five years from date of manufacture regardless of condition, or per the date code printed on the certification label inside the helmet.
