- Clean the outer shell with a soft damp cloth and a mild soap solution; avoid petroleum-based solvents, abrasive pads or harsh chemical cleaners that can degrade the shell finish and visor coatings.
- Remove the interior liner before washing; hand wash in lukewarm water with a gentle detergent and allow to air dry completely before refitting — do not machine wash or tumble dry.
- Clean the visor with water or a dedicated helmet visor cleaner and a microfibre cloth; never wipe a dry visor as this causes surface scratches.
- Inspect the chin strap, buckle and retention system regularly for fraying, cracking or wear; replace any compromised components before riding.
- Replace the helmet immediately following any significant impact, even where no visible damage is apparent — EPS foam liner does not recover after compression.
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, fuel, oils and extreme heat, all of which degrade shell materials and EPS foam over time.
- Do not apply aftermarket paint, adhesive stickers or chemical treatments to the outer shell unless confirmed safe by the manufacturer, as these can weaken the structural surface.
- When not in use, store the helmet in its carry bag or on a flat surface — avoid hanging it by the chin strap for extended periods or resting it on handlebar mirrors where a fall could damage the liner.
