- Wipe the outer shell with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution; avoid petroleum-based solvents, petrol, or abrasive cleaners that can degrade the shell finish and graphics.
- Clean the visor with a damp microfibre cloth — never wipe a dry visor, as trapped grit will scratch the surface.
- If the inner liner and cheek pads are removable, hand-wash them in lukewarm water with a gentle detergent and allow them to air-dry completely before reinstalling.
- Store the helmet in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours, and chemical fumes, which can accelerate degradation of the EPS liner and shell materials.
- Do not hang the helmet by its chinstrap for extended periods, as sustained tension can distort the strap or retention hardware.
- Replace the helmet after any significant impact, even where no external damage is visible — EPS foam does not recover its protective properties once compressed by a hard strike.
- As a general guide, consider replacing the helmet every five years from the date of first use, or sooner if the fit, liner, or shell shows visible signs of wear or deterioration.
