  • Remove the inner liner and cheek pads before cleaning; hand wash in lukewarm water with mild soap, rinse thoroughly, and allow to air dry completely before reinserting — do not machine wash or tumble dry.
  • Wipe the outer shell with a soft damp cloth and a small amount of mild detergent; avoid petroleum-based solvents, petrol, brake fluid or harsh chemicals, which can degrade the shell and finish.
  • Clean the peak visor with water and a soft cloth; periodically check that the peak mounting screws are secure and tighten if loose.
  • Inspect the D-ring chin strap hardware before each ride and replace the strap if it shows signs of fraying, corrosion or weakening.
  • After any significant impact — even if no external damage is visible — retire the helmet immediately; EPS liner damage is internal and cannot be assessed by eye.
  • Store the helmet in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours and chemical contact; prolonged UV and solvent exposure degrade both the shell and the EPS liner.
  • Do not drill, paint or otherwise modify the shell, as this compromises structural integrity.
  • Replace the helmet in line with the manufacturer's recommended service life, or sooner if the shell, liner or retention system shows deterioration.
