- Clean the outer shell with mild soap and warm water; avoid petroleum-based solvents, fuels or abrasive cleaners as these can degrade the shell material and paint.
- Wipe the visor/goggle area gently with a soft cloth — never scrub dry debris across the lens.
- Allow the helmet to air-dry completely in a well-ventilated area before storage; do not use direct heat sources such as hair dryers.
- Store in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight and UV exposure, ideally in a helmet bag to prevent dust build-up and scratch damage.
- Inspect the chin strap, buckle and retention system before each ride; replace immediately if any component shows fraying, cracking or failure to lock securely.
- Replace the helmet after any impact, even if no visible damage is present — internal EPS foam does not recover after a significant strike.
- As a general guideline, retire the helmet after five years of use from the manufacture date, or earlier if the shell, liner or retention system shows signs of deterioration.
