- Clean the shell exterior with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap; avoid solvents, petrol, or abrasive cleaners that can degrade the shell finish.
- Remove the interior liner and cheek pads before washing; hand-wash in cool water with gentle detergent and allow to air-dry fully before refitting.
- Never use high-pressure water or submerge the helmet, as this can compromise padding and interior materials.
- Store the helmet in a ventilated helmet bag away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and chemicals such as fuel or cleaning sprays.
- Inspect the peak visor mounting screws periodically and retighten if loose; replace the peak if cracked or significantly bent after impact.
- After any impact — even one that appears minor — retire the helmet and replace it, as internal EPS foam damage is not visible externally.
- Check strap buckle and D-ring (or micrometric buckle) function before every ride; replace the strap if webbing is frayed or the buckle does not lock securely.
- Replace the helmet in accordance with the manufacturer's recommended service life; if unknown, the general industry guideline is five years from date of first use.
