The MTX Power XN6-3B is a 6-volt AGM (absorbed glass mat) battery built for small-capacity motorcycles, scooters and older machines that run a 6V electrical system. It suits riders replacing a tired or leaking original battery, and workshops needing a straightforward like-for-like fitment.
AGM construction holds the electrolyte in a glass mat separator rather than as free liquid, which supports cranking performance and cycle life while keeping the battery sealed in service. MTX Power uses straight-through welding between cells to cut internal resistance, so more of the stored energy reaches the starter motor, and fully welded internal joints help the battery cope with vibration.
Rated at 6Ah at the C10 rate with a compact 97 x 56 x 111 mm case, the XN6-3B arrives ready to install. Check your existing battery's dimensions, terminal layout and polarity before ordering.

- Confirm the case size (97 x 56 x 111 mm), terminal type and polarity against your old battery before fitting.
- Charge only with a 6V charger or a charger with a dedicated 6V AGM setting — a 12V charger will damage the battery.
- Give the battery a full top-up charge before first use if it has been sitting in storage for an extended period.
- When disconnecting, remove the negative lead first and refit it last; keep spanners clear of both terminals at once.
- Tighten terminal bolts firmly but without over-torquing, and keep the posts clean and free of corrosion.
- Mount the battery securely in its box or strap so vibration is not carried through the terminals or case.
- Wipe the case with a dry or lightly damped cloth only; avoid solvents and do not attempt to open the sealed vents or add water.
- Store off the bike in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, and top up the charge periodically during long lay-ups to avoid deep discharge.
- Avoid leaving the battery flat — repeated deep discharge shortens AGM battery life.
- Recycle the battery through a lead-acid battery collection point at end of life; do not place it in general waste.
