The Motion Pro Black Vinyl Throttle Cable is a purpose-built replacement cable for Honda CRF50 and XR50 riders who have fitted high rise handlebars. At four inches longer than the standard cable, it provides the extra routing length needed to keep throttle action smooth and safe after a bar upgrade.
Motion Pro is a trusted name in motorcycle control cables, and this unit uses a black vinyl outer casing matched to the classic pit bike aesthetic. It is a direct-replacement part designed to restore correct throttle function without modification.

- Before installing, route the cable with gentle curves — avoid sharp bends that can kink the inner wire or crack the vinyl outer.
- Lubricate the inner cable with a dedicated cable lubricant at installation and periodically thereafter to maintain smooth throttle action.
- After fitting, check that the throttle opens and snaps fully closed with the handlebars turned lock-to-lock before riding.
- Adjust cable free-play at the throttle adjuster so there is a small amount of slack at rest — typically 2–3 mm of grip rotation before the slide lifts.
- Inspect the cable ends (nipples) and outer casing for fraying, cracking or corrosion during regular maintenance; replace if any damage is found.
- Keep the vinyl outer clean with a wipe of a damp cloth; avoid petroleum-based solvents that can degrade the casing.
- Store spare cables coiled loosely in a dry location to prevent kinking.
