Motul C2 Chain Lube Road is a dedicated motorcycle chain lubricant formulated for road and street riding conditions. It comes in a convenient 400mL aerosol can, making chain maintenance straightforward at home or in the workshop.
Designed for riders who want to extend the service life of their drive chain, it is compatible with modern sealed chain types including O-ring, X-ring and Z-ring chains. As part of Motul's well-regarded chain care range, the Road formula is engineered to cope with the higher speeds and prolonged use typical of on-road riding.

- Allow the chain to cool to a safe handling temperature before applying — it should be warm, not hot.
- Clean the chain thoroughly with a suitable chain cleaner and allow it to dry completely before applying fresh lube.
- Hold the aerosol nozzle close to the inner side of the chain (the side facing the sprocket) and apply a thin, even coat while slowly rotating the rear wheel.
- Allow the lubricant to penetrate and settle for several minutes before riding so it does not fling off excessively.
- Avoid over-applying; excess lubricant attracts road grit and accelerates wear on the chain and sprockets.
- Do not allow the product to contact brake discs, pads, tyres or other rubber and friction components.
- Store the aerosol can upright in a cool, dry location away from heat sources, open flames and direct sunlight.
- Dispose of empty cans in accordance with your local council's aerosol recycling or hazardous waste guidelines.
