- Always consult your motorcycle owner's manual to confirm the correct viscosity grade and oil specification before use — not all engines accept the same oil type.
- Allow the engine to reach operating temperature before draining used oil; warm oil flows out more completely.
- Check the oil level on a cold, level surface using the sight glass or dipstick before every ride.
- Do not overfill beyond the maximum mark — overfilling can cause foaming and seal damage.
- Replace the drain plug washer each oil change to prevent leaks.
- Store unused oil in its sealed container, upright, in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
- Do not mix with synthetic or semi-synthetic oils if possible; if topping up with a different grade or type is unavoidable, plan a full oil change at the earliest opportunity.
- Dispose of used engine oil responsibly — take it to a designated used-oil collection point or service centre; do not pour down drains or onto the ground.
