The Metzeler Tourance is the brand's long-serving dual-purpose tyre, and this 90/90-21 front is the classic fitment for big-bore adventure, enduro-street and trail bikes running a 21-inch front wheel. It is aimed at riders who spend most of their time on sealed roads but still want a tyre that copes with the occasional gravel road or fire trail.

The block-style tread is designed around real-world road use — a wide footprint for stability at touring speeds, variable-width grooves to clear water, and a block layout intended to keep rolling noise down. A balanced silica and carbon black compound is paired with generous groove depth, so the tyre is built for mileage and all-weather grip rather than outright off-road bite.

Have the tyre fitted and balanced by a qualified tyre technician using proper motorcycle tyre equipment — never attempt to lever it on at home.
Check that your rim is rated for tubeless use; spoked wheels generally require a sealed rim or a suitable tube (if a tube is fitted, the tyre must be de-rated accordingly).
Fit a new valve or valve seal at the same time as the tyre, and observe any rotation-direction arrow moulded into the sidewall.
Bed the tyre in gently over the first rides: avoid hard acceleration, heavy braking and full lean angles until the mould-release film has scrubbed off the whole tread surface.
Set and check cold inflation pressures to the figures in your motorcycle's owner's manual, and re-check them at least fortnightly and before any long ride — under-inflation causes overheating, poor handling and rapid wear.
Inspect the tread and sidewalls regularly for cuts, bulges, embedded stones or nails, and uneven wear; replace the tyre before it reaches the legal minimum tread depth in your state.
Wash with mild soapy water and rinse; keep petrol, oils, brake fluid, solvents and silicone-based tyre shines off the tread and sidewalls.
Run sensible pressures for the surface — lowering pressures for unsealed roads improves traction but increases the risk of pinch damage and rim strikes.
When storing wheels or spare tyres, keep them cool, dry, out of direct sunlight and away from electric motors or battery chargers that generate ozone.
Do not exceed the tyre's load index or speed rating, and pair it with a rear tyre approved for your motorcycle.
